Your First Visit

Your first gynecological visit will include obtaining a complete health history, a lab test evaluation based on your needs, and a complete physical exam. Our physician will answer your questions and discuss any health care problems or concerns you may have before the exam. Follow-up visits are scheduled based upon your specific needs. You may choose to see one practitioner every year for your annual exams and visits. There will always be a skilled practitioner available to assist you with any unplanned health issues.

Once you have a positive home pregnancy test, call our office to schedule your first appointment. Your initial visit should be around 8 weeks after your last menstrual period and is with one of our nurses or certified nurse midwives. You will be asked to complete a genetic screening questionnaire, and we will go over your medical history with you. Your follow-up appointment is approximately 2 weeks later and will be with your choice of either a physician or nurse midwife. This appointment includes a physical exam. After this, your visits will be every four weeks and every 1-2 weeks for the last stages of pregnancy.
